“Repentance”

His eyes were red as wine
As he knelt asking for forgiveness that time
He was praying for God’s mercy & divine
Repentance and sincerity in his heart intertwined

His eyes never stayed dry
From regretting mistakes he did
His heart’s sincerity flew as he cried
Forgiveness God he asked to received

Poor choices he had made
Many years of his life have been wasted
The only answer for him was only one
God’s forgivenes dire mistakes
He has done

He hoped for another chance
A moment of change to spend his remaining years
Doing good deeds for a new life perchance
To draw himself closer to God
And prepare him for life of eternity….
